Customer Background
A mechanical processing plant in Malaysia specializes in high-hardness steel components, including engineering machinery gears, flanges, and shafts. Their operations involve 24/7 continuous heavy-duty cutting, deep-hole drilling, and gear hobbing.Challenges: High temperatures, heavy loads, extreme cutting heat, heavy oil mist, and frequent smoking. Previously, imported cutting oils were expensive and suffered from an unstable supply with a 5–7 week lead time. Additionally, the pungent oil smoke and poor workpiece surface finish were significant pain points.
Preparation (Custom Formulation for High-Temp/Heavy Load & Low Oil Mist)
Operating Conditions: Cutting temperatures of 80–120°C, high tool contact pressure, steel hardness of HRC 50–60, and poor workshop ventilation.
Solution: We customized a 10# / 22# heavy-duty pure cutting oil using highly refined mineral oil, low-viscosity synthetic oil, Infineum P5908 extreme pressure (EP) anti-wear additives, and a low-oil-mist formulation. The product complies with ISO 6743 and GB 7631 standards.
Validation: We provided a free 20L trial sample, along with TDS/SDS and test reports for EP performance, anti-wear properties, and oil mist generation. On-site testing confirmed: No smoking at high temperatures, no pungent fumes, no chipping on tool edges, mirror-like workpiece finish, and smooth chip evacuation.
Production (Dual Bases & Full-Chain Quality Control)
Our Guangzhou Nansha base features a dedicated cutting oil production line with ISO 9001/14001 quality control. Key indicators including viscosity, flash point, EP performance, anti-wear properties, and oil mist volatilization are monitored throughout the entire process.
Every batch is tested by a third-party laboratory with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) issued. With a daily capacity of 20 tons, we easily fulfill the monthly order volume of 80 tons. The product is available in both 200L steel drums and 25L pails, accommodating both centralized oil supply systems and single-machine top-ups.
Custom Packaging (Tropical High-Temperature Drums)
We utilize 200L reinforced steel drums featuring high-temperature resistance and an anti-rust inner lining. The drum body is printed with the customer’s logo, product model, bilingual parameters (English/Malay), and high-temperature anti-scald warnings.
The drums are equipped with leak-proof seals and reinforced bodies, and are stacked 4 layers high on pallets, making them perfectly suited for open-air warehousing in Malaysia’s high-temperature climate. External labels include batch numbers, net weight, and hazardous chemical warnings, fully complying with Southeast Asian industrial safety standards.
